How did you meet?
We are a bumble success story! We had a ton of mutual friends and I remember texting my best friend (one of the mutual friends) before our first date to check he was an alright guy...I guess it turns out he was!

When and where did you get married?
We tied the knot in Waihi Beach. This place is special to us both and is where we spend most of our weekends and all our summer breaks. When we got engaged we didn't even talk about venues it just felt like a given and we booked for February 19th 2021.

The theme/aesthetic for your big day:
Beachy, rustic vibes with a twist of modern.

The biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding:
I had already pictured in my mind what this day would look like so it was quite easy to pull together with the help of Pinterest and Instagram.

The most memorable moment from your day:

Walking down the aisle and seeing everyone (well most...you know covid) we love all in one place coming to celebrate our love.

The biggest hit on the dance floor was:

Honestly, I don't remember. We had a great cover band and there was hardly a time when the d-floor was quiet. They played the best throwbacks.

Did you always have an idea in mind of what you wanted your dress to look like?

Pretty much. All the inspo dress ideas I showed Trish were all very similar in style and she pulled out aspects of each one to make it exactly what I wanted and matched it with a lace that was simple, yet elegant. Trish and the team did an amazing job and I got so many compliments on the day.
