Brooke & Patrick

"From the moment I walked in the pink doors I knew that my dress was going to be through Trish. I was made to feel important, beautiful and heard with everything I said. The custom process with Trish was seriously a dream and every fitting we all worked together in creating my beautiful dress. No question was too silly, or any suggestion of a tweak to the dress was totally heard and I was left with my dream dress.
Would recommend Trish and the team to every future bride"

How did you meet?
We have known each other since around 2007 at school. We then played in the same cricket teams from year 7 till year 13. It was in year 13 that we started being in the same friend group. We ended up going to the ball together that same year
We left school as friends and it was a few years later (2017), after Patrick returned from Otago University we starting officially dating.

When and where did you get married?
We got married on the 21st January 2023 at The Narrows Landing

What was the theme/aesthetic of your big day?
We went for classic and timeless with a modern spin on it. Black and white bridal party, En Masse of bridesmaids bouquets and guest tables. These sorts of touches allowed me to show my love of being a details girl

What was the biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding?
I've always had such a love for fashion and flowers so felt like I had a pretty good idea what I love in terms of weddings. I was very fortunate to have our incredible celebrant - Morgan Seifert as a friend also. I sat down with her drinking wine and talking all things weddings. She pointed me in the direction of who to go to/ where to go. I ended up getting most of my inspiration from together journal and found myself always drawn to the black and white themed weddings

The most memorable moment from your day?
Oh this is so hard cause we were fortunate to have such an amazing day. I think I would have to say hearing Pat say his vows. I really didn’t expect to be taken back by how amazing his words were

The biggest hit on the dance floor was?
Dancing queen by Abba definitely got everyone onto the dance floor!

We honeymooned in?
We were fortunate to have a beautiful week in Queenstown straight after the wedding.

Did you always have an idea in mind of what you wanted your dress to look like?
I really had no idea what sort of dress I would go for. When looking through social media etc I found myself drawn to lace dresses. But from my first dress fitting I quickly realized that wasn’t me and the classic plain look was my dream.
