How did you meet?
At a Shapeshifter concert in Whangamata Jan 2018. We spent the whole night together and parted ways, to then have our first date at the movies a few days later. Inseparable since!

When and where did you get married?
25th February 2022, The Hunting Lodge.

What was the theme/aesthetic of your big day?
Our theme was classic with everything being black and white, with a touch of blush to bring in a soft romantic feel.

What was the biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding?
We didn’t want anything over the top and wanted to keep the day simple and true to us. Our main focus was keeping the day about sharing our love with our favourite people!

The most memorable moment from your day:
Dad walking me down the aisle and seeing Josh at the other end. I was very nervous but seeing Josh made it all go away. When we were signing the paper’s, and looking around at all our people who were there to celebrate us was a beautiful moment too. Also, having our niece and nephew being our flower girl and paige boy was very special. We love our mini people very much and the day wouldn’t have been as special as it was without them there.

The biggest hit on the dance floor was:
We had a variety of old and new songs and as the night went on and guests started requesting the songs, ‘forgot about Dre’ was a hit!

We honeymooned in:
We are very lucky with the world opening up now that we are heading off on our honeymoon to Bali end of July. Neither of us have been before and something we have always wanted to do, so we are very excited!

Did you always have an idea in mind of what you wanted your dress to look like?
I had always envisioned my dress to have plain white fabric and I have always loved white buttons down the back of dresses so knew I wanted something along those lines. I had tried a few previous dresses on and loved them but when my bridesmaids surprised me with a morning at Trish Peng and I tried on one particular dress I knew it was the one. We altered the back, sleeves and added the buttons on. It was truly beautiful and I felt amazing in it. I love my dress so much, it is very special to me.
