Abby and Hugo got hitched earlier this year on a beautiful Summer’s day in Waiheke.
Trish worked with Abby to create her perfect wedding dress, resulting in a stunning draped off the shoulder design, which fit perfectly into the light and modern theme.

What was the theme/aesthetic of your big day?

I would say our theme was light and modern.

How did you meet? 

 How did you meet? We met in 2008 outside a bar called Met & Code ( haha i swear it was the place to be all those years ago but very embarrassing now ), my friend Michelle called him over and complimented his questionable belt which had a massive knuckle duster on the front! We took a liking to one-another, started chatting and exchanged numbers. We had planned to meet inside for a drink but never found each other again that night. We reconnected at New Year's and our relationship blossomed from there.

When and where did you get married?

We got married on the 25th January 2020 at Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant, Waiheke Island.

What was the biggest source of inspiration while planning your wedding?

I spent a-lot of time on Pinterest for ideas but knew the look i liked from the beginning so that made it easier.

The most memorable moment from your day: 

Ah so hard to choose! Probably walking down the aisle and when we saw each other for the first time. I was so nervous up until that point.

The biggest hit on the dance floor was:

I honestly cant even remember but any old school hip hop i would've been majorly into. 

We honeymooned in: 

We headed to the far north straight after the wedding for some time to ourselves as we will plan a trip overseas later on.

Tell us about the wedding dress and the process:

I thought I knew what i wanted from the beginning but when I tried the style on, it didn't feel right. I ended up going to Australia twice to try dresses on and just couldn't find anything i loved! Hence me getting in touch with Trish to create my dream dres.
